Trump: U.S. munitions stockpiles are “almost unlimited”

KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected reports that months of military clashes with Iran have depleted U.S. stocks of weapons and ammunition.

Trump said the United States has “almost unlimited” supplies of munitions and that production is also continuing at an unprecedented pace.

He described reports about declining U.S. weapons and ammunition stockpiles as “treasonous,” saying American defense companies are expanding factories and production capacity to manufacture more munitions.

Trump’s remarks come amid reports that the United States’ stockpiles of some key missiles and defensive munitions have declined following the conflict with Iran.
