KABUL: Around 25,000 people attended a three-day book exhibition held in Khost province with the cooperation of the Kalamat Scientific and Research Institute.
The Ministry of Information and Culture said booksellers offered a 30 percent discount on books during the fair, while students from more than 50 schools also participated according to a scheduled program.
The exhibition was organized to promote a culture of reading, encourage young people to read, support writers and booksellers, and strengthen the academic and intellectual capacity of young people and students.
