KABUL: In a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Head of the Asia-Pacific Department of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Alexander Matheu, says that the new wave of forced deportations of Afghan migrants from Pakistan has a negative impact on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, Arg said in a statement.
The head of IFRC stated that their concerns regarding the new wave of forced deportations of Afghan migrants have been shared with Pakistani authorities.
“We are making efforts to increase the level of Red Cross assistance to Afghanistan this year,” the statement quoted Matheu as saying.
He praised the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s support for the Afghan Red Crescent Society in attracting more international aid to this organization.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the IEA Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, expressing pleasure over the Red Cross assistance to Afghanistan, said that the Islamic Emirate supports the valuable humanitarian and charitable contributions of this organization to the country.
Malwavi Abdul Kabir called for the resumption of Red Cross assistance to certain hospitals in the country.
