KABUL: Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) says major Russian companies have expressed readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan in technical, capacity-building, and development areas of the electricity sector.
According to a statement from DABS today, the offers were made during a visit by Mullah Abdul Haq Hamar, CEO of Breshna, to Russia, where he met representatives of leading energy firms.
The statement noted that technical teams from Russian companies are expected to visit Afghanistan soon to explore and advance joint energy projects.
The Breshna’s leadership also invited Russian firms to invest in Afghanistan and take advantage of emerging opportunities in the country’s power sector.
Officials described the agreements reached as an important step toward long-term cooperation, emphasizing that such partnerships could help ensure a sustainable electricity supply, boost domestic power generation, and strengthen national energy infrastructure.
