KABUL: Abdul Haq Thani, the son of martyr Hamidul Haq Haqqani, the former head of the Haqqania madrasa in Pakistan, has stated that they will establish an Islamic system in the country.
He made the remarks during his father’s funeral ceremony in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa yesterday, where Hamidul Haq Haqqani’s family appointed his brother Rashidul Haq Haqqani as his successor and his son Abdul Haq Thani as his political successor.
In his speech at the funeral ceremony, Abdul Haq Thani emphasized that Pakistan is their ancestral land and that his family has made significant sacrifices for the country.
He further stated that the Samiul Haq family remains committed to Islamic welfare.
It is noteworthy that Hamidul Haq Haqqani was martyred in an explosion during Friday prayers at the Haqqania madrasa.
