Nearly 16 million people needs assistance in coming winter, OCHA

KABUL: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a statement on its account, that it needs $500 million to help those in need in Afghanistan next winter.

“In the coming winter, 15.8 million people in Afghanistan need food and livelihood assistance, as well as in shelter and winter clothing,” said OCHA.

The aid should be delivered within the next three months, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) further said.
