Water supply project inaugurated in Helmand

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in a statement said to Radio Omid on Saturday, that a water supply network worth 6.6 million Afghani has been inaugurated in Helmand province.
Funded by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the water supply network will provide drinking water for 213 families in Loya Necha village, Kajaki district of Helmand province, the statement said.
The project includes the construction of a water reservoir with a capacity of 20 cubic meters, the installation of 24 solar panels, the installation of more than 100 water taps, and the laying of 2,800 meter-long pipe.
