KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development told in a statement to Radio Omid today that work on 85 development projects worth 205 million Afghanis have been kicked off in Nangarhar province.
The projects included the construction of rural roads, bridges, retaining walls, and irrigation canals and will be constructed in Shirzad district of Nangarhar province, said the statement.
The ministry highlighted that the initiatives will create job opportunities for hundreds of individuals and address environmental issues faced by residents of the district.
Recently, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development also reported the initiation of 165 development projects in the neighboring Laghman province, worth nearly 300 million Afghanis.
