KABUL: Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, the Emir of Qatar, in Doha to discuss diplomatic relations.
The Emir of Qatar shared on his X page on Friday night, that in the meeting both leaders emphasized the “importance of strengthening diplomatic and peaceful avenues for resolving conflicts and maintaining regional and environmental security.”
In part of the statement, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad expressed gratitude on behalf of himself and the people of Qatar to the government and people of Pakistan for their valuable solidarity with Qatar.
Prime Minister Sharif visited Qatar last week leading a delegation.
This meeting took place after an airstrike on Doha by the Israeli regime.
