Armed attack on U.S. Immigration Office: 2 dead, including attacker

KABUL: An armed attack on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resulted in at least two deaths, including the attacker, and two others were injured.

Reuters reported today that the attack occurred in the Dallas area of Texas, initiated by a sniper positioned on the roof of a nearby building.

The gunman, whose ammunition was marked “ANTI-ICE,” shot and killed one detainee at the ICE facility and injured two others before turning the gun on himself.

President Donald Trump and several officials from his administration described the attack as an “increase in political violence incited by the left.”

Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel stated on X that while investigations are ongoing, initial evidence suggests the attack had ideological motivations.

There has been a recent uptick in deadly armed assaults driven by ideological motives in the U.S. Notably, Charlie Kirk, a close ally of Donald Trump, was also killed in a similar attack.
