KABUL: Senior officials at the U.S. Department of Justice are working to expedite legal actions against John Bolton, former National Security Advisor under President Donald Trump.
According to a Reuters report, Bolton is now considered one of Trump’s political adversaries.
However, prosecutors have indicated that the case against him still requires further investigation.
The report cites prosecutors stating that the Trump administration has expanded its efforts to suppress its political opponents through various means.
Bolton served as National Security Advisor during Trump’s first term but resigned due to differences with the president.
