India: Our neighbor is epicenter of global terrorism

KABUL: India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated at the United Nations General Assembly that India has a neighbor identified as the center of global terrorism, and the country has been combating this issue since its independence.

During his address, Jaishankar emphasized, without naming any specific country, that many significant terrorist attacks over the past few decades are linked to this neighbor.

According to the Indian government’s “News on Air” website, Jaishankar mentioned that numerous individuals from this country are included in the UN’s lists of terrorists.

He referred to the incident in the “Pahalgam” area in April of this year, noting that New Delhi has taken practical measures against the planners of this attack.

Jaishankar further stated that the presence of terrorists in their neighboring country is not only India’s problem but a shared global threat that requires extensive cooperation to address.
