KABUL: As the date approaches for a major meeting of U.S. military commanders and admirals, informed sources have disclosed the purpose of this gathering.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, at the Quantico military base in Virginia.
Sources have revealed to CNN that this session will have an internal organizational nature for the U.S. Department of Defense, and Washington is looking for a new vision for the Pentagon.
According to the sources, all-star-ranked military commanders, including generals and admirals with the rank of one star or higher, have been invited to attend.
Published information indicates that the Department of Defense has yet to provide specific details, such as the agenda or topics for discussion, to the participants.
Some sources have also suggested that the Department of Defense aims to establish a new entity under the name “Warrior Ethos” by gathering this number of military personnel under one roof.
“Warrior Ethos” is a term commonly used among U.S. military personnel, referring to the spirit of combativeness or the ethics and conduct of a warrior.
The meeting comes at a time when President Donald Trump has recently issued an order to change the name of the Pentagon or the Department of Defense to the Department of War.
