KABUL: The Louver Museum in Paris, one of the world’s most renowned museums, was the scene of a significant theft, during which a valuable collection of “royal jewels” was stolen.
A video released shows two thieves descending from the museum’s building via a mechanical staircase in broad daylight, escaping the scene in panic and fear.
The museum’s director acknowledged that staff failed to apprehend the thieves and identify them before the robbery because there was only one security camera in the area where the jewels were displayed.
Reports indicate that the thieves have not yet been captured.
