KABUL: At least 20 people have died, and several others have been injured due to a fire at a store, in the northwestern Mexican city of Hermosillo.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her deep condolences to the victims and their families in a message.
While she did not specify the exact number of fatalities, she stated that she has instructed the Minister of the Interior to dispatch support teams for the families of the victims and the injured.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred in Sonora state, in the center of Hermosillo, with local media suggesting that the death toll could exceed 20.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but rescue teams have arrived at the scene and efforts to completely extinguish the fire are ongoing.
