KABUL: The Afghanistan national futsal team secured a remarkable victory against Tajikistan in their opening match of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
The match took place today in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where Afghan futsal players achieved a historic win, defeating the Tajikistan national team with an impressive score of 9-5.
This marks the first time Afghanistan has triumphed over Tajikistan in futsal competitions.
Under the guidance of head coach Majid Moradi, the Afghan team delivered an outstanding performance in this match.
In the group stage of the Islamic Solidarity Games, Afghanistan is grouped with Iran, Tajikistan, and Morocco.
The national futsal team’s next match is scheduled for Thursday against Iran.
