KABUL: Pakistan’s Geo News has reported that the death toll from the explosion in the G-11 area of Islamabad, the capital, has risen to 12.
The media outlet noted this afternoon that more than 20 others were injured in the blast, with some reported to be in critical condition.
Pakistani media sources indicated that the explosion occurred outside a courthouse in the area.
Police officials confirmed that investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Additionally, security forces have cordoned off the site, and operations are underway to apprehend any potential perpetrators of the explosion.
It is noteworthy that last week, a similar explosion occurred inside the Supreme Court building in Islamabad, resulting in casualties as well.
