KABUL: A deadly shooting in Australia has resulted in 10 fatalities and 12 additional injuries, Reuters reported today.
Australian officials stated that armed individuals opened fire at a Jewish religious ceremony on Bondi Beach in Sydney.
Based on published information, at least two of the attackers have been arrested, and one of them is among the deceased.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the attack as “shocking and tragic.”
Meanwhile, Isaac Herzog, President of the Israeli Occupation Regime, mentioned that the victims of the attack were Jews who had gathered on the beach to light candles for Hanukkah.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack as of yet, and the Australian police have not released any information regarding the identity of the assailants.
Israeli officials have previously expressed concerns about rising antisemitism in several Western countries.
