Guterres condemns attack on UN Peacekeeping Forces in Sudan calling it a war crime

KABUL: The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack on the organization’s peacekeeping forces in Sudan, labeling it a war crime.

Reports indicate that in this drone strike, six peacekeepers from the UN, who are residents of Bangladesh, were killed, and several others were injured.

Guterres expressed deep condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh, stating that any attack on UN peacekeeping forces is unacceptable.

The Secretary-General emphasized that an attack on peacekeeping forces constitutes a clear war crime, and those responsible must be held accountable.
