KABUL: Iranian media, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), report an armed attack on a police post in the country, where at least three security personnel and one civilian were killed.
The Farsi news agency reported today, that the assault occurred at a checkpoint and police station at the entrance of the “Fahraj” district in Kerman province.
Investigations into the attack have begun, although there are no details available regarding the identities of the assailants.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Kerman is one of the largest and oldest provinces in southeastern Iran.
