KABUL: Delegations from the United States, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt have stressed the importance of establishing a temporary administration in the Gaza Strip, which is expected to occur during the second phase of the ceasefire.
Al Jazeera reported that the delegations met in Miami, USA, on Saturday night, where they urged the parties involved in the Gaza ceasefire to adhere to their commitments.
The statement: “We are full committed to all articles of President Trump’s 20-point peace plan and call on all parties to fulfill their obligations, exercise restraint, and cooperate with monitoring mechanisms.”
The statement also pointed to the progress made during the first phase of the ceasefire, including the release of prisoners, the return of bodies, humanitarian assistance, and the partial withdrawal of Israeli occupying forces from parts of the Gaza Strip.
The mediating delegations emphasized adherence to the ceasefire, noting that since its establishment, approximately 400 Palestinians have been martyred due to its violations by the occupying Israeli regime.
