Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi: Unity and solidarity key to preserving the Islamic system

KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, has stated that unity and solidarity among various ethnic groups in Afghanistan are essential for ensuring the survival of the Islamic system in the country.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet forces from Afghanistan today in Kabul, Hanafi highlighted the importance of unity among Afghans, asserting that a united nation will not weaken the current Islamic regime.

He noted that the Islamic Emirate was established after foreign invasions and injustices in Afghanistan, declaring a general amnesty and ensuring national security.

He emphasized that trained and professional forces, including the Islamic Army, police, and intelligence, have made undeniable progress in combating the cultivation, production, sale, and use of narcotics.

Hanafi also mentioned that significant reconstruction and development efforts are actively underway in many provinces.

He remarked that over the past four years, more than 5 million Afghan refugees have returned home from abroad, and their reintegration has been managed effectively.

This event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the bravery and heroism of the Afghan people in the face of past challenges.
