WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that missiles produced in Iran would soon target the United States of America.
According to Iran’s state news agency ISNA, Trump made the remarks during his annual address to Congress on Wednesday.
Trump added that Iranian missiles already have the range to target Europe, and he accused Tehran of seeking to restart its nuclear program. While emphasizing that he is currently in talks with the Iranian government, Trump stressed that he prefers diplomacy as a first approach but believes that ensuring peace through strength is more effective.
In his annual address, the president discussed a wide range of global policy issues, highlighting U.S. national security concerns and the administration’s stance toward Iran.
