KABUL: Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, said the United States and Israel carried out an strick on the so-called Gandhi Hospital in Tehran following the bombing of a girls’ school in the city of Minab.
In a statement posted Tuesday on X, he said that after the bombing of a girls’ school in Minab, U.S. and Israeli forces also targeted the “Gandhi-Tehran” hospital.
He described the deliberate targeting and destruction of civilian infrastructure, including medical centers, schools, and media institutions, as an attempt to paralyze civilian life, calling it a “war crime.”
“Following the bombing of schools and the madrasah 171 innocent girls in Minab, the U.S.-Israeli attack on Gandhi Hospital in Tehran took place despite the aggressors’ claims of possessing the most advanced military hardware and precision targeting systems,” Baghaei wrote.
He stressed that no responsible government can remain silent in the face of such “crimes.”
Earlier reports said that nearly 200 female students lost their lives in a U.S.-Israeli strike on a school building in Minab.
The attack also drew strong condemnation from the UNICEF.
