IEA PM: Defending our land and people is Islamic Emirate’s legitimate right

KABUL: The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, has held a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim regarding recent developments.

According to the Islamic Emirate spokesperson Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, who wrote on X, the Afghan Prime Minister condemned Pakistan’s attacks on Afghan territory during the call and stressed that the use of force and targeting civilians cannot resolve problems.

He also stated:” The Islamic Emirate believes in resolving issues through negotiations, but considers defending its land and people a legitimate right if aggression occurs.”

Sources added that the Malaysian Prime Minister also expressed concern about the situation in the region and said the recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan were worrying.

He expressed hope that the ongoing crisis would be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding.
