Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid: If Kabul becomes insecure, Islamabad will also be insecure

KABUL: Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Minister of National Defense of Afghanistan, has said that the Islamic Emirate is mentally and militarily prepared for a prolonged war.

In an interview with TOLOnews, Mujahid stated that even if the conflict lasts for ten years, they are ready to continue fighting.

He added that if Kabul comes under attack, Islamabad would also be targeted, warning that if Kabul becomes insecure, Islamabad will also face insecurity.

His remarks come about two weeks after Pakistan allegedly violated Afghanistan’s airspace and targeted civilian areas.

Afghan defense forces subsequently launched retaliatory operations, which are still ongoing and have reportedly expanded with the capture of several Pakistani military posts.
