KABUL: Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, discussed the current regional situation during a recent telephone call.
Sharif said on X that he exchanged views with his Iranian counterpart on the “changing dynamics” in the region.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, stated that tensions between Tehran and the United States will persist as long as the naval blockade on Iran continues.
The remarks come as preparations are underway in Islamabad for the next round of talks between Iran and the United States.
