EU rejects proposal to suspend cooperation agreement with Israel

KABUL: The European Union has rejected a proposal by Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia to suspend cooperation agreements with Israel.

According to reports cited by Tasnim News Agency, the proposal was blocked after key opposition from Germany and Italy, which prevented the initiative from gaining approval.

The motion had been introduced by several EU member states, but ultimately failed due to the lack of consensus among all members, which is required for such decisions within the bloc.
