Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities leave 4 killed, 30 injured

KABUL: At least four people have been killed and 30 others injured following a wave of Russia’s missile and drone strikes across Ukraine, officials said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, said today that the attacks targeted several cities including Dnipro, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv.

He noted that residential areas, civilian infrastructure, energy facilities, and businesses were among the sites hit. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the number of casualties may rise.

Zelenskyy urged international partners to take “urgent and decisive action,” stressing the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense systems.

He also welcomed recent decisions by European leaders regarding the war, discussed during a meeting in Cyprus.

The latest strikes come just a week after Russian forces launched another large-scale assault involving dozens of cruise missiles and hundreds of drones across Ukraine.
