Tehran submits “most serious” updated nuclear proposal to Washington

KABUL: Iran has handed what officials described as its “most serious” revised proposal to the United States through Pakistani mediators, according to sources within Tehran’s negotiating team.
Tasnim News Agency reported Monday, citing a member of the Iranian delegation, that the new 14-point proposal focuses on negotiations, ending the conflict, and confidence-building measures with Washington.
While details of the revised document have not been disclosed, the source said the text included amendments made in response to previous U.S. proposals and message exchanges conducted through Pakistani intermediaries.
The report comes two days after the U.S. negotiating team reportedly presented Tehran with five conditions for reaching an agreement, following Iran’s earlier proposal.
Earlier, Fars News Agency reported that even if Iran accepted Washington’s latest conditions, the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran would not necessarily come to an end.
