KABUL: Asim Munir is set to visit Iran on Thursday as part of ongoing discussions with Iranian officials and mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington, Iranian media reported.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the Pakistani army chief will arrive in Tehran for talks with senior Iranian officials.
The visit comes a day after Mohsin Naqvi made his second trip to Iran this week, during which he held meetings with Masoud Pezeshkian and Iranian Interior Ministry officials to discuss regional developments and bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan has recently intensified diplomatic engagement with both Tehran and Washington amid efforts to ease tensions and support dialogue between the two sides.
