Kabul, Moscow sign military-technical cooperation agreement

KABUL: Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Minister of National Defense, during his trip to Moscow signed a military and technical cooperation agreement with Russian officials.

According to Interfax, Mujahid said in a meeting with Sergei Shoigu, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Security Council, that Kabul and Moscow have expanded their bilateral relations, with both sides emphasizing continued cooperation.

The agreement was reportedly signed on the sidelines of an international security conference hosted by the Russian Federation.

Security and defense officials from various regional and international countries attended the conference to discuss regional security, shared security challenges, and mutual cooperation.
