KABUL: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it shot down a U.S. MQ drone over Iranian waters on Saturday morning.
According to the IRGC, the drone was allegedly conducting a “hostile” operation when it was targeted and destroyed by an advanced air defense missile system.
The Iranian military warned that the country’s airspace and maritime borders remain under full surveillance and control, adding that any violation would be met with a firm and decisive response.
Meanwhile, the United States has not yet issued an official response regarding the reported downing of the drone or Iran’s claims.
