Four police officers killed, 20 injured during angry protests in Kashmir

KABUL: Four police officers were killed and around 20 others injured during violent clashes between supporters of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) and security forces in Rawalakot, Kashmir, according to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper.
In a statement, the office of Kashmir Police Chief Liaqat Ali Malik said that angry protesters attacked the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalakot, where four police officers were killed in the attack through the use of firearms and pellet weapons, while several others sustained injuries.
Police described the incident as a “terrorist act” and stressed that there would be no compromise on maintaining public security and peace.
