Trump, Pezeshkian formally sign U.S.–Iran peace agreement to end conflict

KABUL: The agreement between the United States and Iran has now been formally signed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The White House had earlier announced that President Trump electronically signed the Memorandum of Understanding aimed at ending military hostilities between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Iran’s state news agency reported that Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said during a television program on Thursday morning that the memorandum was signed in both Persian and English.
The memorandum had previously been electronically signed on Sunday by U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance and Iranian negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf before receiving the presidents’ formal signatures.
