KABUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that peace efforts in the Middle East cannot be sustainable without the support of regional countries and that Israel must not be allowed to jeopardize a peace agreement between the United States and Iran.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul, Erdoğan stressed that the commitment and cooperation of regional states are essential for achieving lasting peace.
He also said that Israel is pursuing a policy of war and stated: “Israel must not be allowed to turn the region once again into a battle of conflict and violence.”
Erdoğan further highlighted the importance of expanding economic cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan, noting that Ankara seeks to deepen bilateral collaboration in the fields of energy, transportation, mining, information technology, and defense.
His remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts and heightened regional tensions following recent developments involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
