NATO announces multi-billion-dollar arms deals at Türkiye summit

KABUL: NATO leaders have announced new arms agreements worth tens of billions of dollars during a summit in Türkiye, aimed at strengthening Europe’s defense capabilities and increasing defense spending.

According to Reuters, the agreements come as the United States continues to urge its European allies to invest more in their own defense and reduce their reliance on Washington for security.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said he was disappointed with some NATO allies and renewed his call for the United States to take control of Greenland.
