Qatar’s Gifted Boeing aircraft still missing advanced security features

KABUL: U.S. officials say the Boeing 747-8 aircraft gifted by Qatar for use as the presidential plane, Air Force One, still lacks the advanced defensive and security systems installed on the current presidential aircraft.

Security experts have warned that the absence of these protection systems could expose the aircraft to potential security risks during overseas travel.

According to The New York Times, citing these security concerns, the U.S. Secret Service recommended that President Donald Trump return from Turkey on Wednesday aboard the existing Air Force One rather than the aircraft donated by Qatar.
