KABUL: Health authorities in Gaza said that at least 12 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, including eight people who were martyred during a strike on a funeral gathering at the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to reports citing Palestinian health officials, the funeral was being held for a person who had been martyred in an earlier Israeli strike on the same area, and at least 20 others were also injured in the attack.
Doctors in Gaza said that separate Israeli strikes on other parts of the enclave martyred at least four more Palestinians, bringing Friday’s death toll to 12.
Hamas condemned the attack as a “brutal massacre” and called on international mediators and the United Nations to take action to halt Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
