KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump said the conflict with Iran cannot be compared to the prolonged wars in Afghanistan and Vietnam, arguing that the United States has achieved significant results in Iran within the past five months.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, Trump said the wars in Afghanistan, Vietnam, and Korea lasted for years, while the campaign involving Iran had produced notable achievements in a much shorter period.
According to U.S. media reports, although Trump devoted most of the Cabinet meeting to economic issues and immigration, he repeatedly referred to the conflict with Iran during his remarks.
