KABUL: A senior U.S. State Department official has said that Washington has revoked the visa of Brazil’s ambassador after Brazil declined to formally approve President Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. ambassador and refused to issue visas to two American diplomats.
According to the official, the move was taken in response to Brazil’s recent diplomatic decisions and reflects growing tensions between the two countries.
Relations between the United States and Brazil have become increasingly strained in recent months amid a series of diplomatic disagreements.
