24 Palestinian prisoners returned to Gaza after release from Israeli custody

KABUL: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) says it facilitated the transfer of 24 Palestinian detainees to Gaza following their release from Israeli prisons.

According to Al Jazeera, the detainees crossed through the Kerem Shalom border crossing and were taken to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, where they underwent medical examinations.

The Palestinian Detainees Affairs Office said the released individuals had been detained in various cities and refugee camps across Gaza, including several elderly detainees.

The office added that with the release of these 24 individuals, the total number of detainees returned to Gaza under the Hamas-Israel ceasefire agreement has reached 636.
