IEA expresses condolences over woman’s death near Afghanistan-Tajikistan border

KABUL: Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, has expressed condolences over the killing of a woman in Dashtak village of Darwaz district, in Tajikistan’s Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
In a statement, Balkhi said the woman was shot and killed by what he described as “destructive and opportunistic individuals” in the border area between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
He condemned the incident and said the Islamic Emirate would not allow anyone to use Afghan territory to create disorder or insecurity.
Balkhi also reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to security and stability, good-neighborly relations, respect for national sovereignty and the territorial integrity of countries.
