KABUL: Afghanistan’s ambassador to Russia, Mawlavi Gul Hassan Hassan, said steps have been taken to strengthen security, stability, economic development and diplomatic relations with countries in the region and around the world.
Speaking at a ceremony in Moscow marking the fifth anniversary of the Islamic Emirate’s return to power, Hassan said efforts had also been made in the areas of modern education, employment and the implementation of economic projects.
He said Afghanistan seeks positive and sustainable relations with all countries based on mutual respect.
The ambassador also stressed that stability in Afghanistan is important not only for the country itself but also for the security and economic development of countries across the region and the wider world.
He further called for the expansion of economic cooperation between Kabul and Moscow.
