KABUL: Afghanistan’s chargé d’affaires in Iran, Mawlavi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, has met with Mojtaba Shasti Karimi, director of consular affairs at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a statement from the Afghan Embassy in Tehran, the two officials discussed the provision of consular services and issues concerning Afghan refugees living in Iran.
Iran is one of the main host countries for Afghan refugees, with millions of Afghans living there. Issues related to refugees, residency and consular services remain among the key areas of discussion between Kabul and Tehran.
