KABUL: Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir, have discussed ways to reduce the ongoing confrontation between Tehran and Washington and revive diplomatic efforts between the two sides.
A Pakistani security official told Reuters that the two sides discussed the possibility of restarting diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflict between Iran and the United States and reduce tensions across all areas.
The talks were aimed at easing the ongoing hostilities between Iran and the United States and exploring diplomatic avenues toward a possible political solution.
The discussions come as Pakistan has been seeking to mediate between Iran and the United States in an effort to end the conflict and ease tensions. However, these efforts have so far failed to produce a clear outcome in stopping the fighting or securing a lasting peace.
