KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could face severe consequences, including economic collapse or the loss of its leaders, if Tehran fails to reach an agreement with Washington.
Trump has also said he is prepared to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
In response, Iranian military officials have warned that if the United States launches another attack, Iran would deliver a strong response against U.S. bases and interests and those of its regional allies.
Iran has also claimed that it has information indicating preparations for a possible new attack, but has not disclosed details of the information.
The exchange of threats has raised concerns about a further escalation of tensions and conflict between the two countries.
