1.68 hectares of land allocated for Afghanistan Embassy in Moscow

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says 1.68 hectares of land has been allocated for the country’s embassy in Moscow.

Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, accompanied by Afghanistan’s ambassador to Moscow, Mawlavi Gul Hassan Hassan, visited the land allocated for the embassy, the ministry said.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, head of the ministry’s Press and Public Relations Department, said the 1.68-hectare plot was allocated by the General Directorate for the Provision of Services to Diplomatic Missions under Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The land is located in a key and strategic area of Moscow.

According to the plan, the Afghan embassy building and necessary facilities will be constructed on the site.

Takal said that once the buildings are completed, the Afghan Embassy in Moscow will have the necessary facilities for its administrative, consular, and cultural activities.
