KABUL: As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following a deadly attack on tourists in Kashmir, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, has stated that his country is ready to facilitate dialogue between the two sides.
In a post on his X handle on Friday, he emphasized that India and Pakistan, as neighboring countries, have relationships rooted in centuries of cultural and civilizational ties.
He stressed that Tehran, like its other neighbors, considers New Delhi and Islamabad among its top priorities.
Araghchi expressed Iran’s willingness to take steps to enhance understanding between the two parties during these difficult times.
Relations between India and Pakistan have been extremely tense in recent days, with military confrontations occurring along their border, in addition to diplomatic efforts.
