KABUL: Construction work on a solar power-generated project worth 8.8 million Afghanis has been kicked off in Paktia province, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement today.
According to the statement, previously, the electricity needed for Paktia customs was supplied by generators at an annual cost of 2.2 million Afghani.
The statement highlighted that the new solar power project, which will be funded by the ministry and implemented by the General Customs Directorate of the Ministry of Finance.
The project will provide electricity for the customs and save millions of Afghanis in expenses.
